I noticed this on the uniform while watching "Band of Brothers". I don't know if they wore this in real life or just on screen. At least it's a real American Flag and not a backward one.

"Black Hawk Down" was relesed in 2002 and refects the backward American Flag. It's the earliest date I've found depicting this display.
